day #2: polyvore outfits and rvca

hello,
so my day consisted of going to daphnes greek restaurant (mm especially delicious) and going to target. i found some pieces from thakoon pachingul's GO collection that i really liked, but i'm waiting until they go on sale to buy them because they always do (knock on wood). did you guys know that thakoon is an alum to my school, Boston university? yes yes indeed and it makes it THAT much more enjoyable to attend BU. (haha no but seriously...)  i am still savoring up all the California i can get before i go back to cold disgusting Boston. i mean i love boston but the weather is just too much for a california girl. anywhos, enough complaining... i already broke one of my new years resolutions (way to go yuri).

hmmm enough about my day. oh yeah, i was on polyvore for hours and hours once again. its really freaking addicting and ill probably post up a bunch of outfits in my blogging future.

enjoy:

1. this outfit was for my brother so i named it "kei." he wishes he had such great style. psh. haha

left: rayban sunglasses, cyana boutique bowtie, ae white dress shirt, TOPMAN beanie, browns blazer, louis vuitton watch, john varvatos slacks, polaroid camera, john varvatos converse sneakers, martin margiela bag

right: topman red cardigan, old navy blue oxford shirt, off-white high top converse, vintage tortoise glasses, patek philippe watch
2. this outfit was inspired by erin wasson and jennifer anninston. i felt like i kind of infused both of their styles into one. yes? no? maybe?

anita ko earrings, zoe chicco ring, aloha rag scarf, 3.1 phillip lim riding pants, line knitwear wrap, alexander wang black shirt, grey ant shades, prada clutch, all saints beanie, christian louboutin , rolex watch, cartier love bracelet

speaking of erin wasson, i recently found out that she designed for california based brand called RVCA. i knew somewhat of the brand RVCA but never really paid much attention to it whenever i went shopping. my dad absolutely loves going into surf shops whenever we go to laguna or any beach spot so whenever i'm with him, i'd look through the women's section. being California bred, i grew up wearing roxy, volcom, billabong, etc. but i sort of, hmm how should i say this... "graduated" from that so-called "roxy girl" phase and moved on to more "adult-ish" close (oh that sounds so wrong in many ways but you know what i mean). however, i still incorporated some of the clothes i had from these companies and infused them into my outfits to give it a more "california" feel. whenever people would ask me what my style is (okay no one really asks me, but i pretend like im being interviewed in the shower and this would be one the ?'s), i would say "i think it'll be a mix of east coast and california beach style." and what do you know?  i saw that erin wasson was taking part in a surf/skate brand.  being the type to always research everything, i took a look at what her line (erin wasson x RVCA)was all about: "from the streets of new york city to the beaches of southern california, erin believes that style." BINGO! i found the line for me. i know that one of her many projects was styling for alexander wang, whom i absolutely adore. i always lust after his clothes wishing and hoping i could afford all of it. i never thought i would find an alternative but i did indeed.  what can get better than erin wasson x RVCA?
so as hours passed by while sitting in my room,  i looked through most of the artists and designers involved with this company RVCA. it really isn't only about surf/skate, its about art, fashion, surf and skate. everything i love in one brand.
oh yes, their main office is right in costa mesa (this is where i call home).
that is enough for now... i've been sitting in front of my cp way too long.
